Summer Saskia
Summer walked through the streets toward the main street where there were still one or two places you could get food but they were heavily guarded by government officials, but as a member of the government she knew she didn’t have anything to worry about, strolling in she smiled and greeted one of the guards she knew, walking around she picked out a few things, that she thought would come in handy to her sister, meat, some of the scarce veggies and fruit and a few other things before she left the place after her purchases were checked, they always did to make sure someone didn’t take too much.
She walked back to the street she had met Saskia and walked slowly looking for Sas, Saskia had been sitting behind the dumpster for an hour and was getting bored but at least she was getting fresh air, then she looked around and saw Summer and grinned getting up she checked the coast was clear before drawing attention to herself.
Summer looked around and snuck over to her sister giving her the bag,
“Here that’s the best I can do for now”
“Thanks sis seeya later”
Saskia said before checking the coast was clear and disappearing back under ground with the goods, as much as they raided they never managed to get food like this, the security was too tight.
Summer watched her twin disappear underground and sighed before moving off back toward the ramshackle shack she survived in, she had enough rations to survive until she could get some more.

Getting off of the old train, Chris walked pointedly towards one of the ladders that lead above ground. It was a long process but it was necessary. He was about to climb up when he heard the top slide open. Quickly, he stepped back and hid in the shadows, his right hand laid close to the pistol he had safely at his belt as he heard the footsteps near where he was hiding.
Wrapping his fingers around the gun, he slid it from his belt and held it close before taking a deep breath in, then, with the gun held readily and pointed high, he swirled away from the shadowed area to face a skinny youth with am armful of food.
“What on Earth have you been up to?” he asked, mixed shock and relief on his features. It wasn’t the first time there had been a sneak attack on their base. The previous one had been completely destroyed, blown up, with few survivors, the ones in the conduit at the moment were a handful of those survivors. “How’d you score the grub?”

Saskia
Saskia nearly dropped the bag of food as Chris jumped out of the shadows gun pointed at her, she frowned and stood with one hand on her hip.
“For god sakes cant anyone go for a walk without being followed”
She vented slightly avoiding answering his question for a moment she stepped around him and walked back toward the train,
“You coming, I might tell you on the way, if your lucky”
She said with a grin as she climbed on board and stashed the food on a seat next to her before she sat down and sprawled out getting comfortable, well as comfortable as was possible.

Chris placed the gun back into his belt before he followed after her. “When someone leaves on their own, I’m going to assume theres some trouble that needs to be meddled in or that persons going to need their hide saved.” he spoke, sitting a little way from her as the train pulled off and started down the winding trail towards the conduit. “So are you going to share that bad O food or am I going to have to take you in?” he grinned lightly.

Saskia
Saskia looked at him and grinned, rolloing her eyes.
“Well do I look like I need my hide saved, cause from where I’m sitting I did pretty well on my own, o an look I got better food then the others have managed.”
She said showing him the steak and veggies, and the fruit, before placing them gently back into the bag and placing it back on the seat,
“and you can wait till we get back, this food’s for everyone”
She said easily as she relaxed into the chair she felt better now she had seen her sister and was thankful to her for the food this meant that in the eyes of the rebels Saskia would have done at least one decent thing today even if it wasn’t much.

Chris looked at her, as if trying to figure something out. “No, you are right. You don’t look like it. Then again, neither did that other half of our rebels did they?” he spoke pointedly. Normally he wasn’t one to really look too much into the whole danger side of this job, but with the following rumors that a purge was near, one wanted to be better of safe than sorry, or dead.
He then looked at the food she carried in the little bag. “You sharing? Well that’s a first isn’t it. I thought it was every person for himself out here, right?” he smirked, as the train continued to roll, and the tracks squeaking underneath their feet. It was a very old railway, more than a hundred years old give or take but it had served them all well, and was the main (and practically only) way of getting to and from the surface. If the govt found that out, well, they’d all be screwed.

Saskia
Saskia shrugged and nodded
“Yes true, ok so I guess I can forgive you for following me, this once.”
She said with a grin and then hearing his other comment she hit him and grinned
“we aren’t all guys, its everyone on for him or herself not just himself. And I do too share, besides the people there deserve something better then what we’ve been getting”
She said simply and watched as they drew slowly closer to the end of the line.

Chris chuckled as she hit him and retreated a little down the carriage. “My mistake then.” he was still smiling as he spoke. “and we do such a good job at this surviving thing.” he felt the carriage lurch slightly as it began to slow. In all, it was probably a 5-10 minutes ride from the surface to the labyrinth. Not all that far a distance if you thought of it but it was a start.
"So hows your sister?" he spoke again, he knew full wel lthat there was no way that she got that food on her own, and he had a feeling that she knew that he knew that too.

Saskia
Saskia looked over at him and shrugged,
“Dono she didn’t say, she looked ok I guess, damn sight better then me, but then she has the easy life she helps them”
Saskia said as much as it was good to see her sister she still hadn’t fully forgiven her for joining with them and not the rebels but deap down she knew that one day it would be helpful to have someone on the inside.

Chris felt the carriage lurch as they came to a halt, and stood up. “You still think she can be trusted. The fact that she chose their side, against ours seems a bit shady wouldn’t you think?” he walked out of the carriage and into the dripping corridors.

Saskia
Saskia stepped off the train carrying the bags of food, I frowned at his question.
“Yer I do, she just isn’t a strong willed person like those here but she would never tell them anything and if the time came she would stand by us.”
Saskia said firmly and took the lead back toward the main door, picking out her remote she punched in the code and raised it awkwardly to her mouth to speak.
“Sentry do you copy, this is Saskia Jane Lenoir, requesting access”
She said easily and waited.

James had closed his eyes as he leaned against the door, gently snoozing before he heard a voice near his pocket. He reached down and took the control in his hand and sighed, “Don’t you know not to disturb me while I’m napping Saskia? and is Chris there with you?”
He waited, before he heard a males muffled voice from behind the door. “Do your job properly James you aren’t supposed to name names. What if I was one of the military puppets, come to blow your brains? You’d be screwed, man.”
James sighed before entering the code on the control, allowing the door to swing open on its own. “Well come in.”

Saskia
Saskia just shook her head and walked through the door and as she passed James mumbled
“Bloody hell and Lyric lectured me about sentry duty”
The large bag of food clutched in her hand as she walked off toward the main camp where most people were, walking straight up to Lyric she dumped the bag at her feet. Simply saying
“Share it with the camp I don’t want any”
She walked away to her own little tent type home and went inside.

Chris walked smoothly towards Lyric as she looked incredulously down at the bag of food. “How’d you score this?” she asked, looking through it all.
“Beats me.” he shrugged, “she already had it.” as he spoke he heard a whine as a large dog came trotting to Lyrics side. The canine was pretty average in build, and well fed. She had a long brown coat and a long wolf-like muzzle. The cross breeds tongue lolled out of it’s mouth as she looked up at Chris with it’s ice-blue eyes.
“Hey there Marl,” he said, taking a step forwards and scruffing up the dogs fur around her neck. She let out a happy whine as she layed down and presented her stomach, eager to have that rubbed too. Chris complied, chuckling as the year olds legs went running in the air. “How’s her injury?” he asked, looking up at Lyric.
“Fine, I guess. We were lucky.” Lyric looked down at the torn remnant of the dogs left year. It was bandaged, but you could see already that the ear would have a permanent droop. “That will teach her not to go running off and snooping around traps wont it.”
Chris nodded, getting to his feet, as he watched Marl shake her long fur and trot off pointedly towards the squatting camp, she looked pretty keen on going there.

Saskia
Saskia walked into the little lean to type structure and kicked off her shoes before flopping onto the lumpy remnants of a mattress that was her bed. As she stared up at the canvas ceiling she thought about the events of the day.
She knew she needed to try to get along with people better but what was the point in the end all anyone cared about was them selves and living above ground again, what did it matter, it would probably be years before she could wake up to the light of day again.
